Warehouse Operative – Building Materials

Role

VNOM is looking for an experienced all-round warehouse operative for a family business in Delft. You will process incoming and outgoing goods and help ensure that customers receive their materials correctly and on time. The work involves building materials such as bricks, wood, plaster, cement products, insulation materials and roof tiles. You combine work outdoors and in the warehouse with administrative checks on delivery notes and orders.

You will load and unload trucks, move and store building materials safely using a forklift and reach truck, pick and prepare orders, check incoming and outgoing goods, and check, collect and process delivery notes. You will make sure orders are complete and correct for transport, help customers collecting materials, report deviations to colleagues, maintain a tidy and safe workplace, and work with the team to keep the daily logistics process running smoothly.

Knowledge of building materials is an advantage. You should be used to physical work, be able to work independently, be customer-friendly, and enjoy working with colleagues. A valid forklift certificate and reach-truck certificate are required. You must be available all day every Wednesday and willing to work at least 1 and at most 2 Saturdays per 4 weeks.

Employment conditions

• Salary between €2.700,- and €3.300,- gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on experience.
• Full-time working week of 40 hours.
• Monday to Friday, either 07:00 to 16:00 or 08:00 to 17:00.
• Saturday work from 08:00 to 12:00, on average 1 to 2 Saturdays per 4 weeks.
• 50% Saturday allowance, 25 days of leave and 12 ATV days.
• Varied work combining logistics and customer contact.
